The Safe 7 has a 2.5 inch colour touchscreen at 520 x 380 with haptic feedback, an aluminium body rated IP54, Bluetooth, USB-C and Qi2 wireless charging, and works with Trezor Suite including full iOS support. The Flex has a 2.8 inch E Ink touchscreen at 480 x 600, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC and USB-C, a 10 hour battery and the Ledger Wallet app on iOS, Android and desktop. E Ink is easy on the eyes and slower to redraw. The Trezor screen is livelier.

Which Supports More Coins?

Ledger says 500+ crypto directly in its app. Trezor says thousands of coins and tokens with 30+ third-party apps and 70k+ dApps through those apps. I keep my ETH, SOL and XRP on a Trezor Safe 7, so that mix works for me. Can XRP be stored on Trezor? In my own setup, yes, and you should still check each coin on Trezor's supported list before buying.

A note on the people most likely to push a purchase decision: phishing. Trezor says it will never contact you about your backup and that scammers use AI to imitate support in text, voice and video. Ledger has published notices on physical-mail and email phishing as well. Whichever device you choose, no real support agent will ever ask for your recovery phrase. Treat an unexpected message about a 'vulnerability' or a 'required update' as a scam until you have checked the maker's own site by typing the address yourself.

Finally, think about what you hold. If everything you own is Bitcoin, the Safe 7's extras barely matter and a cheaper Trezor might do. If you hold several chains, either flagship earns its price. Both are valid; neither is a mistake.
