What Happened To Bitbuy?
Bitbuy was long one of the best-known Canadian exchanges, and I used to rank it highly for safety. In May 2024, WonderFi moved Bitbuy’s accounts to Coinsquare Capital Markets Ltd., which operates the platform. Bitbuy Technologies Inc. no longer holds client accounts, and its FINTRAC registration shows as ceased on February 20, 2025.
